The Anna Maria Island Art League's 24th Annual Springfest Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Holmes Beach City Hall field.

This annual event attracts artists from all over Florida as well as 18 states. Almost 100 artists have been accepted and will offer original work ranging from oils and acrylics to fine glass art and hand crafted jewelry.

They will be competing for cash awards totaling $2,500. The judge is Ken Hannon, associate executive director of the Dunedin Fine Art Center. He has been artist in residence at Hortobagyi Alkototabor in Hungary and the Union of Polish Artists/Photographers in Kielce, Poland.

The festival offers high quality art at reasonable process, the Young at Art exhibit, music by local bands and a variety of food booths. Bands include Anna Maria String Band, Koko Ray, Gumbo Boogie Band, The Hurricanes, State Road 64, the Bontrager Sisters and the Anderson Brothers.

There will be prize drawings for artwork donated by exhibitors. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available at the hospitality booth.
