Kathy Sparks will be the Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island featured artist for the month of January, and all month her work will adorn the window of the Guild Gallery, 5414 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach

The opening reception will take place at the Gallery, on Friday, Jan. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Sparks lives near AMI in Cortez. Acrylics are her medium of choice: the brilliant bold colors suit her quirky, coastal style. Mermaids and children are favorite subjects. A member of the AMI Art League as well as the Artists' Guild, she shows her work in fine art exhibits throughout the area.
