Sandra LaRose and Irina Bronstein LaRose offer
salon services in a relaxing setting.
Does your hair salon have a water view? It's true you can't drive along Anna Maria Island or Longboat Key without seeing the water, but chances are you won't find too many hair salons on the water. Well, guess what, there is one and you can even show up for your appointment by boat, at least a small one.
The customers and staff at Design 2000 at the north end of Longboat Key have been enjoying the wildlife and view for 11 years at this location and before then another five from a different spot also on the key. The entire family, Sandra LaRose, Jim LaRose, Irina Bronstein LaRose and Rick LaRose participate in operating Design 2000 although in different capacities.
Sandra and Jim have been in the hair salon business for 30 years with businesses in St. Louis, Mo., before relocating to Florida. They also have years of experience conducting training classes for other stylists and have employed a staff of professionals from around the country with equally impressive resumes.
Rick keeps after the shop making sure it maintains its open, bright and relaxed spa feel.
And Irina is the business manager who just happens to be a Russian language interpreter and translator. It's an authentic family business with a group of really interesting members.
At Design 2000 you can have your hair cut, colored, highlighted, permed, straightened or have a traditional roller set. Men as well can have their hair cut and beards trimmed, children are welcome and the entire wedding party as well. And while you're there have a manicure or a pedicure with one of their two manicurists using the new long-lasting shellac polish or acrylics. They also do facial waxing and sell top of the line beauty products. All their products and services are competitively priced.
In addition to good professional service, Design 2000 also offers a friendly fun environment in a unique setting, serving both Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key's year round residents, seasonal residents and visitors. As Irina pointed out, several salons on Longboat Key have closed in recent years including this year, and Design 2000 would like everyone to know it's still in the same location it has been for 11 years.
So why fight the traffic on and off the barrier islands on your way to your next salon appointment? Give Design 2000 an opportunity work its magic in its magical setting with a touch of family thrown in.
