Regular season ends, teams prepare for playoffs

The regular season of Community Center soccer games has officially ended and now teams look ahead to the playoffs with aspirations of winning the championship. There will be a double-elimination tournament for the 6 to 7-year-old league and a single-elimination playoff system set up for the three oldest divisions, beginning on Nov. 12 taking place at the Center. The season will conclude with league championship and All-Star games taking place throughout the day on Saturday for each division. Sandbar (Division 2), Ross Built (Division 1) and Harcon Corporation (Premier Division) earned the honors of finishing in first place at season’s end in their respective divisions.

Division 1 (10-11)
Mr. Bones BBQ 2 - Autoway Ford 1

Autoway Ford’s hopes to slide into first place in the last week of the season were halted courtesy of a pair of goals by Neil Carper, of Mr. Bones BBQ. Nico Calleja provided Autoway’s only goal of the night.

Premier Division (12-15)
Harcon Corporation 4 - Wash Family Construction 1

A three-goal game from Trevor Bystrom and additional score from Julian Botero allowed Harcon Corporation to cruise to victory and secure first place going into the playoffs. Austin Wash knocked in the lone goal for Wash Family Construction.

Division 1 (10-11)
Ross Built 7 - Autoway Ford 2

Ross Built looked strong going into the playoffs with three goals from Andrew Ross, two by Jake Ross and another pair by Lauren Sapienza. Michael Latimer kicked in two goals for Autoway Ford, which finishes the season in second place behind Ross Built.
