Trolleys roll through holidays

Manatee County Area Transit plans to shut down bus service at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, but the trolleys will keep running until 7 p.m., according to a Manatee County press release.

There will be no fixed route, Handy Bus, or Longboat Key Shuttle service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, but the Anna Maria Trolley and Beach Express will run regular service on Christmas and New Year’s.

The trolley normally runs from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
