Comments: Just check and see who benefits from all of these rentals. Check their names with SUNBIZ. Then see who registered as a hotel and who didn't enforce the current rules. Let the police department make arrests and issue tickets. Move on with this the cats already out of the box.

Subject: 4 way stop sign
Comments: As an 11 year bike- riding resident of Holmes Beach, I have had issues with the 4 way stop sign on the corner of 56th and Holmes Blvd. but never thought to complain until now. This past Saturday night my neighbors dog was hit and killed by someone who ran that stop sign on Holmes Blvd and didn't have the decency to stop. Shame on them. My point?: maybe the city should install one of those "Stop for Pedestrian" signs in the middle of the road -- you might get someone to actually STOP!

Comments: Why are these meetings being held in the morning? 10am? Really? Most folks are at work! Just another way for the Commission to continue to disrespect the voters! Why aren't you holding these meetings at 6 or 7pm Commissioners? what are you afraid of?

Subject: amazing help from managers at white sands beach resort florida
Comments: My husband had a heart attack whilst we were on holiday from England on the 17th October 2014.
He was rushed into Blake memorial Bradenton. The amazing surgeon Mr Alesnic performed a triple heart bye pass and thank the Lord he is recovering well on this beautiful island which we have been visiting for the past 20 years.
I cannot think how we would have coped without the help and support of two amazing brothers Ken and Jeff Gerry. They had everything I would need to nurse my husband back to good health. Blood pressure monitor, thermometer, bathroom scales, raiser for toilet and chair for the bath to shower my husband in place for when we returned from Blake medical Centre
Add to this the times they have run us to hospital and doctors surgery appointments(45 min run to near i75)as I do not drive here. They are truly wonderful young men and a great credit to the resort of Anna Maria Island. Such kindness at such a stressful lonely moment leaves me speechless.
Our grateful thanks go to these two wonderful young men, and the wonderful Dr Alesnik at Blake Hospital.
Thank you Ken and Jeff Gerry, The White Sands Beach Resort. Holmes beach Florida.
May God Bless you both.
Shelley and Roy Christopher. England.

Subject: Bridge from Long Boat
Comments: I've been coming down here to Anna Maria for 35 years and I've ALWAYS thought Long Boat should have a bridge for evacuation. What are they thinking?! They only have one bridge and it is at the most southern end of the island. If I were people in Bradenton Beach I would be furious to have to go to Manatee bridge so Long Boat could use their bridge in case of evaculation!

Subject: This Weeks Survey for new Bridge
Comments: Bridge north of longboat should have been built years ago to help with traffic and evacuation. With three bridges off island it would also make it easy too maintain and repair them.

Comments: "Yes" to a bridge from north Longboat Key to the mainland. I live in Bradenton Beach, north of the Cortez bridge, but closer to it than the Manatee bridge. I think it is ridiculous that I would have to use the Manatee bridge to evacuate. Let Longboat Key have their own bridge & let all Bradenton Beach use the Cortez bridge.

Subject: build bridge @ north longboat
Comments: Need 3rd bridge for better evacuation and help for traffic on cortez bridge and in case of emergency or hurricane. But if i'am not mistaken most everybody in longboat voted for a high fixed cortez bridge. But nothing in there backyard. So they could have less traffic getting home but no consideration about safety for all. And if some disaster happened and we all could not get off island in time then they all would be screaming for 3rd bridge for evacuation.

Subject: Sally Owen, you should be ashamed
Comments: Sally Owen, I know that you illegally built beyond your permit and deceived the building department at 132 49th st, just like the builders you mention. I never worked in the building department and have nothing to do with permitting and your lucky bc I would have probably had you remove your illegal renovation. Sally the rules are for everyone, you are not exempt. Be careful when you start throwing stones. David Zaccagnino

Subject: Australian Pines
Comments: Please interview the arborist who submitted the report. Ask him a direct question: To your knowledge, is there a tree that: 1. Is as salt tolerant as the Australian Pine so that it will grow at the beach line where the Australian Pine grows, 2. Will grow fast enough, if planted in place of the Australian Pine using normal arborist practices, to provide the shade and relief of the harmful glare of looking at the beach of the present Australian Pines within a reasonable amount of time so that people can again sit under them as they can currently under the present Australian Pines,3. require no maintenance, and 4, provide the wonderful sighing of the wind through them as the Australian Pines do? I think we both already know the answer, but I would like to see it in print from a so-called expert, because I never have. Thank you so much! Jerry B. Shell

Subject: HB Residents Be Aware!
Comments: While driving on Marina Drive I noticed a "Zaccagnino for Mayor" sign in front of a developer's office, but didn't pay any special attention. Then I began to notice more Zaccagnino's signs in front of those mega-party rental houses. The one's with 6 or more bedrooms and a parking lot in their front yard. Now, since no one actually lives in those homes(more that a week at a time) the signs must have been placed there by the developers or investor owners. It became pretty obvious who they supported.
It hit me----Zaccagnino has been a City Commissioner during the entire period when developers were allowed to find loopholes around the building code rules. These mega-rentals have done significant damage to the character of our beautiful island. It's time to retire "public servants" like him.

I am not an attorney nor do I profess to be one but what kind of crap is this and who wrote it? An evidentiary officer? Where is the definition of this? What are the credentials of this officer? What are the guidelines for appointing this officer? Who will they elect? Ed Chiles? David Teitlbaum? Robert Lincoln? I say this in jest because as this is written any of those three could be appointed. How could that be legally fair or stand up in any court other than this kangaroo court that has assembled itself on the Bradenton Beach City Commission?
