Symphony on the Sand set for Nov. 12

Last year the crowd enjoyed music and food to the backdrop
of perfect weather and the soothing sound of waves.

 

The Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra will present its fourth annual Symphony on the Sand on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the beach at Coquina Gulfside Park, 2650 Gulf Drive S., Bradenton Beach. Tickets are now avialable for this musical and gourmet event awww.SymphonyOnTheSand.com.

Attendees at the Symphony on the Sand concert can enjoy small plates created by favorite local restaurants. These include Beach House, seafood boil and caviar hors d' oeuvre; Blue Marlin, bananas Foster; Coquina Café, peach, tomato and feta salad with apple cider vinaigrette; Freckled Fin, coconut shrimp; Lazy Lobster, lobster mac and cheese. Republic Distributing will provide the wine and Motorworks Brewing and Gold Coast Eagle will provide the beer. Mixed drinks also will be available.

Tickets at $125 each include a salad course, several entrée selections and a dessert with complimentary fine wine and select beers. Other ticket options are $50 tickets without food for individual chairs and a $20 option to bring your own chair or blanket and sit inside a roped-off area, closer to the stage.

A cash bar and concessionaire food are available for $50 and $20 ticket purchasers. Purchasing tickets early is advised. Ticket sales on the date of the event will have an increased price. Bringing alcoholic beverages onto the beach is prohibited. AMICCO reserves the right to search all coolers, tote bags, etc., upon entry to event area.

Tickets also are available for the Friday, Nov. 11, concert featuring John Michael Montgomery, American country artist, and the Sunday, Nov. 13, concert featuring “The Stranger, The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience" at www.SymphonyOnTheSand.com. All concerts are ticketed events and are rain or shine.

“We are excited about the expansion of Symphony on the Sand to a three-day weekend of concerts, the many and varied artsHOP Island-wide events and Keep Manatee Beautiful’s SandBlast,” said Jeanie Pickwick, executive director of AMICCO and chair of the Symphony on the Sand steering committee.

“With celebration of our courageous veterans on Friday, Nov. 11, this will be a great three-day weekend to come out to the beach and enjoy what we have in abundance in our area – extraordinary music, delicious food, spectacular beaches, art walks, live theatre and a great sense of community.”
