Celebrate Endangered Species Day

An endangered West Indian manatee swims in
the Intracoastal Waterway off Holmes Beach.
Friday is Endangered Species Day, a great time to go on a scavenger hunt to find as many imperiled species as you can on Anna Maria Island.
No fair feeding them, hugging them or taking them home – just paint pictures of them, photograph or watch them – and enjoy!
Here are a few:
West Indian manatee
Green sea turtle
Hawksbill sea turtle
Kemp's ridley sea turtle
Leatherback sea turtle
Loggerhead sea turtle
Species of Special Concern
