With one week left in the regular season, things are shaping up for an exciting finish and playoff run in all three age groups of Community Center soccer. In Division 1 action, Wash Family Construction beat first place Ross Built to close the gap in the standings. The commanding lead that Ross Built accumulated over the majority of the season is now down to a one game advantage over Autoway Ford, due to two losses in the past two weeks. This battle for first place will come down to two games left this week, including a head-to-head matchup to cap off the regular season. There will be an awards banquet for all age groups, Instructional Division through Premier Division, on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Center. The playoffs will begin next Thursday, Nov. 12 with Championship and All-Star Games played on Saturday. For scores, standings and schedules you can visit www.islandcommunitycenter.com.
