Soccer season in full swing

The first week of games revealed some key strengths and weaknesses for teams in the early stages of the season. The oldest age divisions proved to have some offense-heavy teams, as Ross Built scored six goals and shut out its opponent in Division 1 and Mike Norman Realty scored 10 goals in two games in Premier League action.

Monday, Sept. 21
Premier Division (12-15)
Mike Norman Realty 6 - Wash Family Construction 2

Mike Norman Realty picked up its first win of the season by defeating Wash Family Construction thanks to three goals from Chandler Hardy. The trio of Helio Gomez, Logan Reiber and Hunter Parrish each added a score as well. Wash Family Construction was led by Garrison Clark with two goals.

Tuesday, Sept. 22
Division 2 (8-9)
Panoramic 2 - W. Coast Surf Shop 0

Joey Altuchoff and Dylan Joseph provided the lone scores for Panoramic in the win over West Coast Surf Shop.

Division 2 (8-9)
Sandbar 3 - Sparks Steel Art 1

Christian Daniels, Leo Tilleli and Jason Partridge each scored a goal in the winning effort for Sandbar and Spark Steel Art’s lone goal came off the foot of Emma Moneuse.

Wednesday, Sept. 23
Division 2 (8-9)
Sandbar 3 - Panoramic 2

Sandbar picked up its second win in back-to-back nights with an almost identical performance to its game Tuesday. Christian Daniels, Leo Tilleli and Jason Partridge each had a score to lead Sandbar. Panoramic had two goals from Tyler Pearson but came up just short of the victory.

Division 2 (8-9)
West Coast Surf Shop 4 - Sparks Steel Art 3

West Coast avenged its loss from the night before with a win over Sparks Steel Art, which fell to 0-2. Ethan Bertrand and Aiden Grumley each had a pair of goals in the winning effort for West Coast. Spark Steel Art had two goals from Emma Moneuse and one from Nicole Sewall.

Premier Division (12-15)
Harcon Corporation 5 - Mike Norman Realty 4

Despite a three-goal effort from Chandler Hardy, Mike Norman Realty was unable to keep up with the scoring pace of Harcon’s top players. Trevor Bystrom had three goals and teammate Julian Botero added another two in the win. Hunter Parrish scored a goal for Mike Norman Realty.

Thursday, Sept.24
Division 1 (10-11)
Autoway Ford 3 - Mr. Bones BBQ 1

Michael Latimer led all scorers with two goals and Nicco Calleja added another goal for Autoway Ford to pick up the team’s first win. Cooper Hardy had the lone goal for Mr. Bones BBQ.

Friday, Sept. 25
Division 1 (10-11)
Ross Built 6 - Wash Family Construction 0

Goals were plentiful for Ross Built as it earned its first victory on the year. Sydney Cornell had three goals while Jake and Andrew Ross combined for the other three goals in the win.
