Flag Football season continues

Monday, May 4
8-9 Division
Sparks Steel Art Falcons 12
RLS Industries Patriots 6

The Patriots gave the Falcons a run for their money in this game, but the Falcons defense held strong and prevented the Patriots from scoring to tie or win the game. Dylan Joseph and Joey Stewart each scored a touchdown in the game for the Falcons, while Aiden Grumley reached the end zone for the Patriots lone score.

Island Dojo Martial Arts Academy Jaguars 18

The Jaguars were very close to taking away the undefeated season the Cardinals have put together on Monday night. The Cardinals received three touchdowns by Michael Latimer to lead the offense and another end zone visit from Tyler Pearson. Jean-Paul Russo of the Jaguars ran for two touchdowns, with Tyler Yavalar adding another touchdown in the game.

Tuesday, May 5

As a result of playing excellent defense and touchdowns from Jean-Paul Russo and Nicole Sewall, the Jaguars held on for the shutout victory. The team also recorded a safety for an extra two points to round out the scoring.

10-12 Division
Sand Dollar Colts 20
Ross Built Chargers 14

The Colts held on for the 20-14 win as the Chargers scoring drive was ended on a fumble right near the end zone. Nick Mello, Austin Marrow and Michael Duffman of the Colts each had a touchdown to lead the scoring attack. The Chargers’ Jake Ross accounted for both of the teams touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the hard loss.

Wednesday, May 6
10-12 Division

Sand Dollar Colts 8

The Texans cruised on for the 35-8 victory thanks to Zach McGuire and Logan Reiber who lead the team on offense. McGuire caught two receiving touchdowns and threw for two more, while Reiber had a touchdown catch and passing touchdown of his own. Anna Maria Galati and Joey Salinas each had visits to the end zone as well. The Colts points came from a long touchdown run by Michael Duffman followed by a two-point conversion catch by Austin Marrow.

13-16 Division
Beach Bistro Cardinals 12
Island Real Estate Colts 7

This low-scoring matchup between the Cardinals and Colts turned out to be an excellent game with the Cardinals stopping the Colts drive right before time expired. Rainia Lardas of the Cardinals caught a short pass from Isaac Pinckney for a touchdown, with Michael Galati adding an end-zone visit on another pass from Pinckney. The Colts points came from a touchdown by Wyatt Hoffman, followed by a successful extra-point attempt by Hoffman.

Thursday, May 7
10-12 Division
Mike Norman Realty Packers 22
Ross Built Chargers 6

Jack Shinn lead the Packers as he caught a touchdown reception and also connected with Jacob Talucci for another score. Seth Walter also helped the Packers with a touchdown run in the game, while Cooper Hardy and Morgan Greig each were successful on extra-point attempts. Jake Ross accounted for the Chargers lone score, catching a short pass in the end-zone in the second half.

13-16 Division
Beach Bistro Cardinals 41
Strategic Ministries Cowboys 20

The Cardinals offense was dominant in this contest, as Jordan Grabski scored three touchdowns to lead the team to victory. Danny Doyle hauled in a pair of touchdown catches, while Chandler Hardy chipped in with a long touchdown reception as well. Five of the six touchdown passes were thrown by Isaac Pinckey of the Cardinals. The Cowboys had a touchdown from J.D. Jackson, Luke Shackelford and Zach Guerin but could not keep up with the fast paced Cardinals scoring.

Friday, May 8

The Cardinals improved to a perfect 9-0 on the season as they shut out the Falcons. Michael Latimer had a pair of visits to the end-zone, while Tyler Pearson and Masen Blandford each contributed with a touchdown in the game. The Falcons were unable to score on the tough Cardinals defense, but managed good offensive production from Joey Stewart and Dylan Joseph.

10-12 Division
Mr. Bones BBQ Vikings 18

The Vikings managed to hold on for the win in this very close contest between the Vikings and Packers. Ricky Almodovar caught a touchdown pass and returned an interception back to the end-zone for another score to lead the Vikings. Ben Connors of the Vikings also chipped in with a trip to the end-zone for another score. The Packers received their points from two touchdowns by Seth Walters and a pair of successful two-point conversions from Jack Shinn to round out the scoring.
