Historical Societys Heritage Day celebration,
according to Historical Society Executive Director
It was a wonderful day, she said. Were
still processing, but we know the proceeds are better
than last year.
Quinn said she got a lot of help putting together
her first event since taking the position.
Its really nice how the community came
together, she said. The Chamber of Commerce
and the Community Center helped us a lot also.
She said the only problem was they could not get
more than two food vendors, and both of them served
She singled out John Zachman, who helped tremendously
in getting the Belle Haven House ready for the celebration.
Zachman also volunteered his time two years ago
after they moved the historic house next to the
city jail and Historical Society headquarters. Quinn
summed up the event as a culmination of participation
by many parties.
It was a good will day, she said.
