It seems that when it comes to fashion, everyone’s goal is to achieve a certain look just right for them. Helping you attain that look for your crowning glory is the job of Looks Salon and Elizabeth Kersey, the salon’s owner for 14 years.

Elizabeth Kersey is the consummate professional when it comes to hair care and hair styles. She has been in the business for 29 years, 21 of those in Bradenton after relocating from Canada, and nine in her present location. It’s always comforting to know that your favorite stylist will likely be there next month, which is why Kersey’s clients have loyally stuck with her even after they moved out of the area.

Looks Salon has a clean, modern look with styling areas sectioned off allowing some privacy but still creating an open, airy atmosphere. The shop is tucked away in a quaint courtyard complex with a pretty water fountain and other shops and businesses nearby, invoking an upscale urban feel.

Kersey’s shop offers a wide range of hair care services including styling, color, hair straightening, hair extensions and foils as well as waxing. Women, men and children are all welcome as are walk-ins. In addition, because of the shop’s growth, she is always looking for new stylists who want to improve and expand their own businesses.

When I asked Kersey what she thinks sets her salon apart from others, her reply was that she is continually updating the salon and keeping up-to-date on the latest hair styles by attending classes and learning the latest in hair care products and trends. Because of this training, she is frequently able to offer new ideas and services to her clients.
