On June 4, many of the staff at the Anna
Maria Island Sun helped celebrate the wedding of Erin Krauss
and Rob Dellenger on the beach in Holmes Beach. It was a fabulous
afternoon, and since everyone loves a wedding, the residents
of the surrounding homes and condos came out on their balconies
to toast and cheer the bride and groom.
The condo closest to the beach access is one I never noticed
before and for good reason. Its called Hidden Cove and
has only six units in this very unassuming building at 5610
Gulf Drive.
Hidden Cove is set slightly back on Gulf Drive, just around
the bend from the Martinique condos on the Gulf side. Theres
no doubt that the beach at its doorstep is one of the finest
in the world which is undoubtedly why no one ever leaves Hidden
Cove.
The Manatee County records show that Hidden Cove was built
in the summer of 1996, with selling prices around $240,000.
Units have two bedrooms and two and a half baths and are a
townhouse design, with the master bedroom and private balcony
on the upper level and living area with another balcony on
the first level.
There is a pool and under building parking with individual
storage units.
In todays incredibly escalating real estate market,
the owners at Hidden Cove are sitting on a small gold mine.
But what I found most interesting about Hidden Cove is that
none have sold since the small complex was built not
a one. If there is one on the market now its well hidden.
Weekly, and monthly rentals are permitted with monthly rates
in the mid to high $5,000 range, depending on the season.
If you love the beach, the surf and an occasional wedding,
Hidden Cove will fill the bill, and if one ever comes on the
market, grab it. Good luck to Erin and Rob!
