ANNA MARIA – The Studio at Gulf and Pine, 10101 Gulf Drive, is calling all artists for “10byTEN at the Studio,” a community exhibit, sale and fundraising event to be held Nov. 1 through Dec. 23.
The exhibition, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Studio, invites all artists from novice to professional to create 10-inch by 10-inch pieces of art in any medium.
Cradled painting panels (Claybord) are available while supplies last for a nominal deposit fee at The Studio at Gulf and Pine or Keeton’s Office & Art Supply, 817 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, during regular business hours. Individuals who want to participate but are unable to obtain Claybord are encouraged to use the surface of their choice following the submission guidelines. Five-inch by five-inch wrapped canvases are available for artists under 18 years old.
The deadline for entries is Saturday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. There is no entry fee.
All “10byTEN” artwork will be sold for $75 and 5-inch by 5-inch artwork for $25. All proceeds will go to Cultural Connections, the Anna Maria Island 501(c)3 nonprofit arts and culture advocacy organization, and the Studio at Gulf and Pine to expand future programming for artists.
The first chance to purchase artwork will be at the kick-off event for this year’s artsHOP on Thursday Nov. 9, when the Studio opens its doors at 6 p.m. for an evening of original art, live music, wine and light appetizers provided by the Sandbar Restaurant.
